The apartment is located on the ground floor of a two-story house. It features an open-concept layout with a fully furnished kitchen and a comfortable living room area. The bedroom includes two beds—a full bed and a single bed—and an open-concept bathroom. For your comfort, the room is equipped with both an A/C unit and a fan.

House Rules

Please ensure that ALL lights are out upon retiring for the night. The room is NOT soundproof and so it is expected that a certain level of discretion to be used since this is a family home. Absolutely no smoking allowed in the apartment. Smoking is allowed on the pool deck. All outlets, lights, A/C, television etc., except the refrigerator should be turned off when leaving the apartment for outings. Absolutely NO unauthorized additional guests on property without informing the hosts.

The area is quiet and the neighbors are very friendly and helpful. Ten (10) minutes walk to the beach.

Guest has access to the entire apartment with an open patio space. Guest can also access the yard, pool deck and terrace bar area.

We spent 9 days in St Lucia at The Local Experience and everything was great. Lerona replied quickly to every message. They made our stay a lot easier. Especially with 2 young kids. The food was great as well. You must try it!

We stayed 6 nights at the Local Experience. The hosting family was very responsive, kind and proactive throughout our stay. The apartment was fully equipped with ensuite bathroom. There was also a possibility to have a local Carribean breakfast and dinner that were beyond delicious. Lerona’s husband gave us useful recommendations and advice for getting around the island that made travelling very easy. We highly recommend to stay at the Local Experience if you are looking for more adventure and authentic close nature experience. Thank you so much and we highly appreciate your hospitality!

We stayed at Local Experience - Lerona’s house for 9 days. This was one of the most exciting nature vacation we have ever had! This family went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure we were comfortable. The apartment was very clean and had everything to meet our needs. The house is surrounded by beautiful trees, a little pond with goldfish and a pool. It is about 25 min ride from the airport and the main nature attractions. Lerona’s mother is an excellent chef, she made us very tasty dinners that I really recommend trying. They even picked some coconuts from the trees for us! Lerona’s husband is a taxi driver so that made it very easy to arrange any travels with him. He gave us some good recommendations about certain destinations. This family is very kind, warm and friendly. I would definitely come stay with them again. I really recommend to stay here for people who love nature and adventure. Overall, amazing experience! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

We loved The Local Experience! Lerona and her family were great! They gave us fresh fruit from their farm almost everyday-coconuts, mango, tamarind, guava, passion fruit. We ordered from their menu a couple of times. Lerona’s mom is a great cook! They were super helpful with making dinner and excursion reservations for us. This Airbnb is about 20-30 minutes from anything you can think of, including Soufrière, but is considered the “country side”. It’s a private, safe-feeling compound with the family’s home above and next to the Airbnb. There’s a cool rooftop deck that has a nice view. The Airbnb has a nice kitchen and a bedroom that is open to the bathroom. There’s a secluded beach just down the road and a horse stable around the corner that take you on nearby trails, beach, and an old sugar plantation. We’d definitely stay here again. Lenora and her family feel like old friends.

The apartment is a 1 minute walk to the main road, where public transportation is easily accessed. A private taxi service is also available, for daytime or late night outings.
